Technical Services Coordinator
Are you the kind of person who would rather figure out why something isn’t working than simply pass the problem on to someone else? Do you enjoy getting your hands dirty, while also keeping track of what needs to be done, what has priority, and what’s coming up next?
As Technical Services Coordinator at BlueFinn and Scuba Do, you’ll work with a wide variety of technical equipment. Boats, vehicles, jet skis, equipment, and installations all need to remain safe, reliable, and operational. That means troubleshooting and carrying out maintenance, but also planning and coordinating work and preventing problems before they happen. You’re practical and technically minded, comfortable making decisions independently, and enjoy working with the team to make the technical operation better and more efficient.
Your responsibilities
You’ll combine hands-on technical work with coordination and oversight. From solving an unexpected technical issue to planning maintenance and making sure the team has the right parts and priorities in place, you help keep our daily operation running smoothly and safely.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on vessels, diesel engines, generators, jet skis, buggies, and vehicles
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues
- Maintain, improve, and install electrical systems
- Service mechanical equipment such as winches, pulleys, rollers, and other operational systems
- Maintain commercial kitchen equipment and facility installations
- Support dry dock operations, inspections, and technical projects
- Maintain maintenance records, logbooks, and certification documentation
- Coordinate daily activities within the technical department
- Plan, prioritize, and assign technical tasks
- Guide, support, and supervise technical team members
- Manage technical inventory, spare parts, and supplies
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and external service providers
- Identify opportunities for improvement to minimize downtime and increase operational efficiency
Who are we looking for?
You’re someone who takes ownership and doesn’t wait around for someone else to solve a problem. You work methodically, keep a clear head when something unexpected happens, and know when to fix something yourself and when to coordinate the right people to get the job done.
- Experience with technical maintenance and repair work
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, mechanical systems, and electrical installations
- Ability to independently diagnose and solve technical issues
- Experience coordinating or planning technical activities
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain oversight
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset
- Able to work independently as well as within a team
- Flexible and willing to respond to operational priorities when necessary
- Experience within the maritime industry, marine engineering, or as a vessel engineer is considered a strong advantage.
What do we offer?
This is a role with plenty of variety, responsibility, and room to make a real difference. You’ll work across a diverse technical operation and have the freedom to bring in your own knowledge, ideas, and improvements while developing the department together with us.
- A diverse and challenging role within a growing organization
- The opportunity to work with vessels, vehicles, watersports equipment, and technical installations
- Significant responsibility and room for initiative
- A dynamic and informal working environment
