All-round sailor
Do you feel more at home on the water than on dry land? Do you love spending your days at sea, sailing along Curaçao’s coastline and taking on the waves? Are you not afraid to get wet and do you enjoy giving guests from all over the world an unforgettable day on the water? As a sailor at BlueFinn, you’ll be right in the middle of the action. You’ll work closely with the captain, take great care of our guests, and help keep everything on board running smoothly – always with a strong focus on safety, great service, and a healthy dose of team spirit.
Your duties
As part of our crew, you’ll help make sure every trip runs smoothly from start to finish. You’ll work closely with the captain, take care of our guests, and help keep everything on board safe, clean, and ready for another great day at sea.
- Supporting the captain during daily charter trips.
- Assisting with mooring and unmooring the ship.
- Safely guiding guests boarding and disembarking.
- Serving drinks, lunch, and other catering on board.
- Keeping the bar, restrooms, and other areas clean and tidy during the trip.
- Performing light maintenance and cleaning duties on board.
- Inspecting and maintaining safety materials and other equipment.
- Ensuring excellent service and a safe, welcoming atmosphere on board.
Who are you?
We’re looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team, knows how to take responsibility, and understands that great service is all about the details. You’re hands-on, reliable, and feel right at home working with people and out on the water.
- You have a mature, responsible, and professional work attitude.
- You are presentable, hospitable, and service-oriented.
- You enjoy working together, take initiative, and can act independently.
- You are physically fit and feel at home in a maritime environment.
- You have a good command of Dutch, English, Papiamento, and Spanish, both spoken and written.
- You possess a valid health certificate (GGD) or are willing to obtain one.
- Experience in the hospitality, tourism sector, or maritime services is a plus.
- You are flexible and willing to work according to a schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
